Akashdeep who directed Ghaath (2000) makes his way back to direction after stepping down as the CEO of Sahara Motion Pictures with Baap Ka Maal. Talking about his brainchild, he says, “This film I am working on will have one story and five directors. It is about the state of affairs of this country.
Every politician thinks this country is his property! Four directors will direct different parts of the film while I will compile all the work. It is a seamless script and not five different stories.”
“I have spoken to Sudhir Mishra, Amole Gupte, Nishikant Kamat and Rahul Dholakia. They have read the script and are excited about the film. But of course, each director will bring in his own sensibilities.
I already have Amole’s letter of approval and he will direct the portion that deals with kids. Nishikant will do the Mumbai part of the story and Rahul will direct the religious undertones,” reveals Akashdeep.
The film, the director says, would go on floors later this year. “It does not require bulk dates from any director. It will be made under my banner. It is my concept and very out of the box,” he concludes.
