First weekend collection of 'Dear Zindagi'

' released at the box-office this week. Though the film received mix reactions from the audience the film fared quite well at the ticket window in its first weekend.

Made more for the multiplex audience, the film was released across 1200 screens and it managed to not just open well but also show good growth over the weekend. On the opening day that is Friday 'Dear Zindagi' collected about Rs 8.75 crores. On Saturday the numbers increased and the film managed to rake in about Rs 11.25 crores. Since the film received mix reviews, the collections are not what a regular SRK movie would see but still on Sunday 'Dear Zindagi' made a decent Rs 12.50 crores. Overall in its first weekend the film has made a total of about Rs 32.50 crores, which is quite good considering the genre and treatment of the film.
