Bollywood is not just for India and Indians, it's a phenomenon in other countries too. So when a Hindi filmmaker beckons someone to do even a cameo, chances are that the person wouldn't give a second thought.
And so it happened with many foreign models and actresses who were waiting to get a taste of the Indian cinema. These actresses with their full-length roles or even a cameo have managed to grab many eye balls with their oomph quotient.

While some returned to their home country, many managed to grab more roles by cashing in on their popularity. With Indian filmmakers wanting to include a firang beauty in their movies for various reasons, these models/actresses have had their share of limelight in Bollywood and managed to give their Indian actresses a tough competition!
Kalki Koechlin:This French babe won the Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actress for her bold role as Chanda in Anurag Kashyap's Dev D.Her portrayal as a modern-day prostitute also won her critical acclaim. Since then, there was no looking back! She's been on a roll with a lot of films in her kitty. Way to go girl!
Barbara Mori:This Uruguayan Mexican model was a TV star until she was casted opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kites.More than her acting skills, she became famous overnight in India for her onscreen kiss with the hot hero in the movie.
Yana Gupta:A Czech model who had endorsed international products like Calvin Klein and Victoria's secrets became a hit with the Indian masses after her appearance in the song Baapuji zara dheera chaloin the movie Dum.Post that, this hot chick did quite a few item numbers for films in various languages and earned the title 'Item girl'.

Lagaan? An English actress who aptly suited the role, she won many a hearts with her true-to-life appearance in the film. Her performance did draw a lot of applause from the Indian audience.
Shannon Esra:She is a South African actress who started acting at an early age of 4. She played Govinda's love interest in the multi-starrer Salaam-e-Ishq.Though she did not pursue her Bollywood dreams, she did add a feather to her cap as she is believed to be the first Caucasian actress to have grabbed the lead role in Bollywood.
Gissele Monteiro: This Brazilian model easily pulled off the Punjabi-kudi-next door look in her debut Love Aaj Kal. In fact, when the movie released, nobody had a clue or could even accept the fact that she wasn't an Indian girl!
Alice Patten: An English actress who won many a Indian hearts with her performance in the patriotic Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti.She played the role of a young British documentary filmmaker in the movie and ofcourse the love interest of our chocolate hero Aamir Khan!
Kylie Minogue:She is an Australian TV actress and also a renowned songwriter.She performed to an AR Rahman song in the Bollywood flick Blue.The movie was nothing to talk about, but the very fact that she would make a cameo was reason enough to lure the audiences to theatres. Her song, a chartbuster, was no doubt the only saving grace in the movie.
Jaqueline Fernandez:Originally a Srilankan actress and model, Jaqueline made her Bollywood debut with Aladinfor which she has won the best female debut. Soon, she was flooded with offers. She's considered one of the hot actresses in the industry now.
