Shooting a film at
Wagah Border is no mean task and who else knows it better than
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,
Randeep Hooda and
Richa Chadda
? They were ready to shoot the
Sarabjit biopic
at the India-Pakistan border few days ago, but couldn't as the required permissions weren't granted to the makers.
Aishwarya sweeps floors, does dishes at The Golden Temple! However, the entire team of 'Sarabjit' has now breathed a sigh of relief as the documentation has been cleared and the permission to shoot at the Wagah Border has now been granted to
Omung Kumar, director of the film. He is all set to shoot some crucial scenes of the biopic with Randeep, who plays Sarabjit, and Aishwarya, who plays his sister Dalbir Kaur.
As per a report on SpotboyE.com, the makers were very worried about getting a green signal from the concerned authorities to shoot at the Wagah Border as it is one of the most sensitive areas as far as national security is concerned. Another thing that perturbed them was that if the permissions to shoot at the border were denied then they would have to build an entire set resembling Wagah Border in Mumbai and that would mean humongous addition to their budget.
But like they say, all's well that ends well; the team is all set to head to Wagah Border and shoot the required scenes, following which they will head to Delhi for a two-day schedule and finally return to Mumbai to complete the remaining portions of the film.
