Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who is an admirer of legendary actor Dilip Kumar, visited the veteran actor in the hospital on Tuesday. He also spoke to the 98-year-old actor’s wife and actress Saira Banu, who informed him that Dilip Sahab is stable now and should just keep him in our prayers for his speedy recovery.

Bhandarkar was spotted arriving at the hospital by the paparazzi. Have a look:



Earlier Dilip Kumar was hospitalised for routine tests and check up, following complaints of breathlessness on Monday. Later in the day, he was diagnosed with bilateral Pleural effusion and decreased oxygen level.

While Saira Banu told ANI about the veteran actor’s breathing issues, she later updated that he is ‘stable’ and likely to be ‘discharged soon.’

She had also shared a health update on Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter handle and wrote, “Past few days my beloved husband, Yousuf Khan, has been unwell and recuperating at a hospital in Mumbai. Through this note, I want to thank all of you for keeping him in your prayers and for all the love and affection. My husband, my kohinoor, Dilip Kumar Sahab’s health is stable and doctors have assured me that he should be discharged soon.”

She further added an important note for their well wishers and fans, “I urge you to not believe in rumors. While I ask you to pray for Sahab’s I am praying that the Almighty keep all of you safe and healthy during this pandemic. Sincerely, Saira Banu Khan”.

She had also urged everyone to not fall for fake Whatsapp forwards and asserted that, “Saab is stable. Thank you for your heart-felt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Insh’Allah”.

Meanwhile, the veteran actor’s personal doctor has also informed that he is doing better while there has been an improvement in his oxygen level.
