Film producer Firoz Nadiadwala got interim protection on Monday till August 26 from arrest in a complaint lodged by Raj Kumar Santoshi against him. He has to attend Juhu police station from August 1 to August 4 to assist the investigation and record his statement.
The Juhu police was present in court and opposed his plea saying he had threatened Santoshi with "dire consequences" and was a "dangerous" man.

Nadiadwala's advocate Zulfi Memon said that his client had only demanded his legitimate dues payable to him under earlier agreements.
He said "on the contrary charges are required to be pressed against Santoshi for Criminal Breach of Trust and Cheating and for misappropriating a sum of Rs. 6 crore he owes me since 2011.’’ He said since Santoshi was not responding when he went to his place, he "naturally lost his cool and called him up to express displeasure.’’
