Actor Chandan K Anand is currently seen in MX Player's #Scarp and Amazon Mini Tv's Campus Beat starring Shantanu Maheshwari and Shruti Sinha.
Best known for his work in TV shows and projects like 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl', 'The Body', Imtiaz Ali's 'Love Aaj Kal', 'Rangbaaz' and Netflix's 'Class'; Chandan will be next seen in 'Fighter' starring alongside Deepika Padukone and Hritik Roshan and Kay Kay Menon starrer Union for Bani Jay Asia.
Sharing about his character in MX Player's Scrap, he tells, "Well, I am playing a Senior police officer Romil Rana who is an idealist and wants to clean up the society and system from all malpractices which hinders the-smooth functioning of law and order; where he fails and takes a direct stand and kills a criminal Chinu pandey ,who could have turned into a Don and would have done greater damage."
Talking about his latest teen drama show Campus Beat which also stars Shantanu Maheshwari and Shruti Sinha, Chandan said, "In Campus Beat, I am playing inspector Shekhawat, as the name suggests Campus Beat is a story based in a dance college Campus I.e MAD where my colleague has been brutally killed in an accident. Coincidentally, the Protagonist Netra played by Shruti Sinha is the daughter of my colleague and we both make it as our mission to find the culprit and how we do that is thrilling."
The actor will be featuring in the much awaited film Fighter directed by Siddharth Anand.
He says, "Fighter will always be a memorable one. It’s a massive big budgeted film and being a part of such a film in itself is a glorious moment. There had been many fun memories within this 1 year of shooting schedule. When you work with the best team and production you learn a lot about film making and how much hardship and preparation the team goes through just for few seconds scene. This film journey has made me Siddharth Anand’s fan and would say it’s a blessing for me as an actor to work under his direction."
Next up, he also has Kay Kay Menon starrer Union where he will be essaying Former Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army Sam Manekshaw. Describing his working experience with in the show, he tells, "I have almost all my scenes with Kay Kay Menon. It was such a learning experience, he is so kind and considerate for the entire project that he will make any possible way to make and take out the best from the co actor and the scene. I remember a scene where there was a walk in the corridor and we were in a hurry and Kay Kay sir is 6 ft with long legs. He was walking at his pace but to match up his speed I had to run. So director came and said - 'Chandan you are running, it’s looking odd'. Then I requested Kay Kay sir to kindly slow down the walk as my 2 steps were equal to his one (laughs). But he was very cooperative. I feel proud to be working with such stalwarts, it's a blessing."
