Farhan Akhtar’s original debut film to hit theatres on February 1

The film is titled ‘The Fakir Of Venice’
Farhan Akhtar might have made an impressive acting debut with Rock On !! in 2008, but not many know that the musical drama was not supposed to be his first outing as an actor.
Originally, his debut was supposed to be another movie titled ‘The Fakir Of Venice’, which, by the way, is yet to see the light of the day.

After a delay of more than 10 years, the film was scheduled to hit the screens this Friday (January 18, 2019), but it has hit a roadblock yet again. According to an entertainment portal, there are many films — ‘Why Cheat India’ and ‘Fraud Saiyyan’ — releasing this Friday, and the makers are keen to avoid a box-office clash. So, ‘The Fakir Of Venice’ will now be released on February 1.

Apart from the upcoming films, some previous releases like ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘

The Accidental Prime Minister

’ and ‘

Simmba

’ are continuing to run in many theatres. That’s also one of the reasons why The Fakir Of Venice’ has been postponed.

On the personal front, rumours are growing strong about Farhan tying the knot with his girlfriend, Shibani Dandekar.
