Farhan Akhtar heartbroken over bodies washing up on the banks of Ganga

Farhan Akhtar expressed grief after it was reported that several dead bodies were found floating in the Ganga river. “The news of scores of bodies being discovered floating in rivers and washed up on its banks is absolutely heartbreaking. The virus will be defeated someday but there has to be accountability for these failures in the system. Until then, the pandemic chapter is not closed!” shared the actor on Twitter.

He had recently slammed those selling fake Remdesivir injections, which is in high demand right now due to the surge in COVID-19 cases. Referring to them as ‘monsters’, Farhan had tweeted, “Seen a news report of people manufacturing & selling fake Covid medication. You have to be a special kind of monster to con people in these dark & desperate times. Shame on you, whoever you are!!!”
Stepping up to do his bit amid the pandemic, Farhan Akhtar had recently teamed up with a non- profit organization to donate towards initiatives that are being used to feed patients and caregivers in distress. He also recently took the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, using a drive-in facility.
