Katrina Kaif caught the most attention. Priyanka Chopra's wish was not just simple birthday notes as they came with lines kickstarting the buzz for Farhan’s long-pending film 'Jee Le Zaraa'.
Priyanka Chopra’s post sparks buzz
Priyanka Chopra shared a birthday wish for Farhan Akhtar on her Instagram story. Her message read, "Happy Birthday mere dost Farhan Akhtar. This year is going to be so special for you."
That one line, “this year is going to be so special for you,” hints at either 'Don 3' or 'JLZ'.
Katrina Kaif sends warm wishes
Katrina Kaif also wished 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' director on his birthday and it read, “Happiest Birthday @faroutakhtar Wishing you the best year filled with lots of love and light."

Farhan Akhtar on 'Jee Le Zaraa' status
Farhan Akhtar spoke about Jee Le Zaraa on the Our Stupid Reactions podcast last year. He said, “I would hate to say that it is shelved. What I will say is that it is put on the back burner. It is a film that will happen.”
He also shared how much work is already done. "It's too delicious a script. There's so much work that's already been done on it. I finished all the location scouts. I've recorded music for the film. All of this is done.
It's just a matter of time before we get back and do it again."
He hinted that the original cast may not be fixed anymore. “I can’t comment on the cast anymore. Don’t know what that will be and when that will land. But will the film happen? The film will happen.”
With Priyanka and Katrina’s birthday wishes now in focus fans are once again hopeful that Jee Le Zaraa will finally take off.
'Jee Le Zaraa' was announced in 2021 as a road-trip movie starring Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif. It was supposed to go on floors in 2022 but never started after the pandemic. There were strong rumours that the film had been shelved.
Farhan was recently seen in '120 Bahadur' which received 3 stars from ETimes and our review read, "The supporting cast comprising Eijaz Khan, Vivan Bhatena, Ajinkya Deo, Raashi Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Ankit Siwach, despite its promise, is given far too little to explore. Oddly placed flashbacks and formulaic backstories interrupt the narrative flow, while choppy editing further disrupts immersion. The music too is disappointingly flat — you can’t help but recall every rousing Border track that might have elevated the drama here."
