Payal Rohatgi talks about being the glamour girl who doesn''t mind losing her clothes:<br /><br /></div> <div align="center" style="position:relative; left: -2"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" align="center" border="1" width="70.3%"> <colgroup> <col width="100.0%" /> </colgroup> <tr valign="top"> <td width="100.0%" colspan="1" rowspan="1" style="" valign:="" top="" background-color:="" f3f3f3=""> <div class="Normal"><img src="/photo/1008909.cms" alt="/photo/1008909.cms" border="0" /></div> </td> </tr> </table></div> <div class="Normal"><br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Most of the characters you have portrayed have been glamourous. In an industry that is quick to typecast its actors, are you willing to be known as a glamour doll?</span><br />I do realise that my niche has been that of a glamourous actor and honestly, I have no problems with that. I don’t belong to a film family and I’ve made the best of what’s come my way. <br /><br />My forthcoming films live up to this image. The bottomline is that I want to be remembered as a good actor even if its within the glamourous image I have acquired.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">‘Want success will expose’ is the current mantra. What’s your take on exposure?</span><br />Yes, this trend of exposure is being followed religiously these days and whether I like it or not, it complements my image. My parameters for exposure are that whatever I do on screen should not make my family uncomfortable. <br /><br />I should be proud to be associated with it. However, I feel that this wave of exposure is just a passing trend that will not last too long.<br /><br /></div> </div><div class="section2"><div class="Normal"><script language="javascript">doweshowbellyad=0; </script></div> <div align="center" style="position:relative; left: -2"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" align="center" border="1" width="70.3%"> <colgroup> <col width="100.0%" /> </colgroup> <tr valign="top"> <td width="100.0%" colspan="1" rowspan="1" style="" valign:="" top="" background-color:="" f3f3f3=""> <div class="Normal"><img src="/photo/1008910.cms" alt="/photo/1008910.cms" border="0" /></div> </td> </tr> </table></div> <div class="Normal"><br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">How important is your career to you?</span><br />Very important. I’m much focused and realise the value of my career. I’ve just bought a new home for myself from my earnings and I appreciate the financial independence this career allows. <br /><br />What I also love about this profession is that it allows me to be a character and live in situations that would not be possible in my normal life.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Your five-year plan?</span><br />Presently, I’m just going with the flow. Like most people, I’m going through a phase of struggle before I reach the position where I can command what I want. In the near future, I don’t see myself acting on television or in music videos, at least not until I’ve made a mark in films.<br /><br /></div> </div><div class="section3"><div class="Normal"><script language="javascript">doweshowbellyad=0; </script></div> <div align="center" style="position:relative; left: -2"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" align="center" border="1" width="70.3%"> <colgroup> <col width="100.0%" /> </colgroup> <tr valign="top"> <td width="100.0%" colspan="1" rowspan="1" style="" valign:="" top="" background-color:="" f3f3f3=""> <div class="Normal"><img src="/photo/1008911.cms" alt="/photo/1008911.cms" border="0" /></div> </td> </tr> </table></div> <div class="Normal"><br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Are there any actors you admire and why?</span><br />Yes, I like Tabu for her humility and modesty — she has proved herself as an actress by acting in some very challenging women-oriented roles. <br /><br />And I also like Shah Rukh Khan — he started from scratch, acted on television and is a big name today. He’s proved that TV actors can make it big in movies. It’s all in the attitude. Nothing''s impossible if you set your mind to it.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">What are your forthcoming projects?</span><br />There’s <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Fun — It Can Be Dangerous</span>, which is ready for release. I co-star with Aryan Vaid and Siddharth Koirala in the movie that''s about wife swapping. I found my role very challenging. <br /><br />Then there’s Partho Ghosh’s <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Chetna </span>where I play the title role. This was also a challenging role where I play an aggressive character with shades of grey. My other films include, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Maza Maza</span> and an untitled film which are nearly complete and two films which are on the floor. </div> </div>
