'Exercise your right': Amitabh Bachchan urges people to vote in a quirky way
Amitabh Bachchan shared a lively video urging voters to fulfill their responsibilities in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, particularly focusing on Mumbai's seats. The video, posted on Instagram, features animated jungle animals dancing to a remake of the song 'Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai'. Bachchan's caption emphasizes the importance of voting in Maharashtra. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan also encouraged voting in the state. Maharashtra, along with Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, will see polling in the fifth phase, along with Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Maharashtra has 48 Lok Sabha seats, making it the second-largest contributor to Parliament. Its political diversity influences national politics significantly. In the 2019 elections, the BJP secured 23 seats, with ally Shiv Sena (undivided) getting 18. Today, 13 constituencies, including six in Mumbai, will vote, with results to be announced on June 4.
