Today, Supreme Court has announced that
the Central Bureau of Investigation
will take over the death probe of
Sushant Singh Rajput. The verdict came after
Rhea Chakraborty filed an appeal in the Supreme Court to transfer the probe to Mumbai.
Speaking about the same,
Tusshar Kapoor exclusively told ETimes, “I have utmost faith in the law of the land and since this tragedy has been made into a circus, I think the Supreme Court has been taking the most thought-out step. The best thing to really get everyone out of this maze and really brings truth to a tragedy which needs to be revealed to the world. I am sure that there are lots of learning to come from this. I guess the CBI probe will eventually clear everything and put things in the right perspective.”
The SC has asked the
Mumbai Police to hand over all evidence collected so far in the case to CBI. The court observed that the FIR registered at Patna on the complaint filed by Rajput's father
KK Singh
was correct. The apex court also stated that there was no confusion over CBI being the sole authority to probe the mystery behind the actor’s death and that no other state police could interfere with it.
Earlier, Sushant’ sister
Shweta Singh Kirti
took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Thank you God! You have answered our prayers!! But it is just the beginning... the first step towards the truth! Full faith on CBI!! There we go!! Finally!! CBI for SSR!! Congratulations to my extended Family!! So happy... first step towards victory and unbiased investigation.”
