Farhan Dhalla, who trained Deepika during the shooting of the film in Canada, revealed that the actress was one of most focused people he has worked with. In an e-mail interview with timesofindia.com, he even spilled the beans on Deepika's diet. He said, 'Deepika's diet is pretty solid. Most often, my concern is that my clients are eating enough food. This wasn't the case with Deepika. While on set for shooting 'xXx: The Return of Xander Cage,' there were many long days and sometimes nights. Some days were as long as 15 hours. Doing scenes repeatedly and making sure that the director is getting what he wants, it's important that you're able to perform during these long hours and so, getting enough food for energy is vital.'

Farhan further said that his training was more focused on her performance rather than weight loss. He said, 'Since, we were aiming more for her performance than for her weight loss, it was important that she consumed enough food. The only thing I really made sure she had every day before breakfast was a glass of room temperature water with a freshly squeezed half lemon. This keeps the body alkaline which helps with all our bodily functions. There are many health benefits of drinking lemon water in the morning. On her long days on set, I made her drink it throughout the day.'
