Exclusive! 'Shudra part 2': Rajniesh Duggall, Vikram Gokhale to play the lead in sequel titled 'Bagaawat'

After Sanjiv Jaiswal's 'Shudra-The Rising', the filmmakers are set for its sequel, titled, 'Bagaawat'. The film will once again deal with the issues faced by the lower caste. Unlike the prequel, 'Bagaawat' is based on the teachings of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and will focus majorly on women's equality and his dream -'one nation one code'. The storyline of the sequel revolves around Shudras and their rebellion against the upper castes in order to seek justice and equality.
A close source associated with the film's project informed ETimes that the makers have majorly completed the film before lock-down.However, a few scenes from the film are remaining which are scheduled for this month end. And if the post production work is done on time, then the makers will release a small teaser on December 6 on the death anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar."
Revealing details about the film cast, a source further added, "The film will have known actors from Hindi, Marathi, Bengali and South film industries. Accordingly, Rajniesh Duggall, Shishir Sharma, Aham Sharma, Vikram Gokhale, Suparna Malakar, Aditya Om and others will feature in the sequel."
When contacted, Rajniesh confirmed, "Yes, It is a beautiful movie and I feel privileged to be part of the project." While, all our efforts to reach Vikram Ghokhale were vain.
The film is expected to release in April 2021 around Dr. Ambedkar's birth anniversary.
