Exclusive! Shekhar Suman on CBI taking over Sushant Singh Rajput's death probe: It is a victory of justice, faith, hope and democracy

The Supreme Court has just announced that

the Central Bureau of Investigation

will take over the death probe of Sushant Singh Rajput. The much loved actor passed away on June 14 and his family, friends and fans have been actively urging for a CBI inquiry into his untimely demise.

Bollywood

actor Shekhar Suman has also been campaigning for a CBI investigation since the initial period and he had also visited Sushant’s father in Patna.


Hailing SC’s decision, Shekhar Suman told ETimes, “We were all very sure of this. The fight that we had started from the first day, 14th of June, it has continued and become into a sort of a world movement. Out here about 1.3 billion people asking for a CBI inquiry has finally paid off because truth prevails. At the end of the day it is

Satyamev Jayate

and it is a victory of 1.3 billion people, it is a victory of justice, it is a victory of faith, hope, democracy.”

Sushant's father had levelled several allegations against Rhea Chakraborty in his FIR filed in Patna and she was also called for questioning by the ED. Reacting tot he same, Shekhar Suman told ETimes, "I think it will be too premature to talk about anything right now. The case has gone where it should and the law will take its own course. We should not pass any judgements now, but leave it to the CBI. In the absence of the CBI inquiry there were many theories that were floating and people were speculating, pointing fingers which was not nice. So let the CBI inquiry be done, I think everything will be evident in the time to come."
