Tell us something about your latest song ‘Maha Mrityunjaya
Jaap’.The Maha Mrityunjaya mantra is one of the most important mantras. It restores health, happiness and peace. The chanting of Maha Mrityunjaya is known to generate divine vibrations that ward off negative energy.
How did the song happen?I recorded this song at home during this lockdown. I was motivated to compose and sing my version of the mantra with the hope that it brings positivity and peace to people and helps them stay centered even when it feels like things happening around are hard to understand.
How has coronavirus pandemic affected your work? I’ve been working quite a bit actually. I have been honing my writing skills and using the time to create even more.
How do you think this pandemic will affect Bollywood
?This is a difficult period for all industries and Bollywood is not different. My heart goes out to those in the industry who depend on daily wages. I hope and pray for their sakes that this period passes and they can regain their source of livelihood.
How do you keep yourself busy since everything is in lockdown, anything that you are doing in this free time?I’ve been primarily working from home. Apart from that, I have been reading, writing, cooking, catching up on some amazing shows and have generally been trying to keep the spirits high at home. We always say that we wish we had more time. Well here it is, so I am making the most of it.
What message would you like to give to everyone during this time?We are humanity’s strongest soldiers. We can fight this! And this is a war that can be won by simply staying at home. So stay home, stay safe and know that this will also pass!
