Exclusive! Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar to tie the knot in March
Cricketer Arjun Tendulkar, Sachin Tendulkar’s son, is set to tie the knot with fiancée Saaniya Chandhok on March 5. The latter, an entrepreneur and granddaughter of Mumbai-based businessman Ravi Ghai, got engaged to Arjun in August 2025, in a ceremony attended only by close friends and family members. Sachin later confirmed the engagement during a public appearance.
“The wedding festivities will begin on March 3 and will mostly be in Mumbai. Of course, it will be close friends and family only,” shares a source. We reached out to the Tendulkar family for more details, but did not receive a response till the time of going to press.
The engagement was kept firmly under wraps at the time, in line with the family’s preference to maintain privacy around personal milestones. It was only months later that Sachin publicly acknowledged the development, putting to rest speculation around his son’s relationship status.
During a recent Reddit AMA session, the former India captain was asked directly by a fan, “Did Arjun really get engaged?” Responding with a smile, Sachin confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, he did, and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life.”
Sources say the upcoming wedding celebrations will reflect the same understated approach, with traditional ceremonies planned across multiple days, attended by select members from the cricketing fraternity and close family friends. Arjun, who has been steadily building his cricketing career, is understood to be balancing preparations for the wedding alongside his professional commitments, as the family gears up to welcome a new chapter.
