Rituparna Sengupta tested COVID-19 positive recently post her India trip. She told
Bombay Times, in an exclusive interview, “Honestly, I don’t know when I contracted the virus, but I know it was in Singapore. When I boarded to come back to Singapore via Mumbai, I was tested negative. After reaching here I was quarantined and I got tested positive. I am completely asymptomatic and am feeling fine.
I am following all the required protocols and precautions advised by my doctor and authorities.”
The actress quarantined herself at the recovery centre in Singapore as soon as she reached there. “My family couldn't see me after I reached here. And they can't meet me till I finish my quarantine. They are really missing me.”
Rituparna is supposed to come back to Mumbai next month in April, for her Hindi film. “’Ittar’ is a beautiful and matured love story of two strangers who meet accidentally in a very unusual situation.
Something very strange, but somehow life takes a different turn. The concept of the film is nuanced and sensitive. The film is directed by Veena Bakshi. There are six National awardees working in this film.”
The actress has multiple films coming up. She says, “I'm eagerly waiting for 'Bansuri' to be released soon. It has been directed by Hari Visanath and co-stars
Anurag Kashyap. And I am also waiting for ‘Good Morning Sunshine’ too with Revathy and
Shabana Azmi.”
