' will not release in Hindi on Friday 26 as scheduled. However, the
Telugu
and
Tamil
version will see the light of day in the South.
The whisper doing the rounds is that decision in question was taken in view of the current upsurge in the COVID-19 scenario.
When contacted, Eros International spokesperson confirmed the news and said, "Dear viewers, it pains us to share this news but given the COVID-19 situation in the Hindi markets, the team of 'Haathi Mere Saathi' has decided to hold on to the release of the film. We shall keep you posted on further developments. However, we will be releasing 'Aranya' and 'Kaadan' in the South markets on the 26th of March."
The film has been directed by
Prabhu Solomon and the release date for the Hindi version will be announced shortly.
