has it that the two films are the same. This implies that Kartik is playing the role which was supposed to be done by Kriti.
It so happened that Kriti just walked out of the film for reasons best known to her, if we were to go by Azure's senior producer Gaurav Bose. Gaurav, when contacted, tells ETimes, "Kriti just quit without giving a worthy explanation, I mean, she did not give us a convincing reason."
After that, the production house did not go ahead with Dholakia. They might not have called it 'Dhamaka' but Gaurav explained, "Dholakia got busy in other projects and of late we were talking to Ram Madhvani and things fell into place- and Ram went on to cast Kartik in the protagonist's role. We sold the rights to Ram. This is how Ram is now producing the film and he went on to sell it to RSVP movies who are backing it."

This morning, we brought you another big exclusive on 'Dhamaka' wherein we told you how Madhvani is shooting the film in a bio-bubble set up in a 5-star hotel in Powai. The film is expected to be complete in the next 15/16 days.
We asked Kriti about her exit from Azure and Dholakia's project but she chose to not respond.
