Everyone thought I was chubby: Saumya

Actress Saumya Tandon shares her fitness mantra
Everyone thought I was chubby: Saumya
My exercise regime:
People thought I was chubby when they saw me in Jab We Met but I broke the myth. Today, when they see me, they say that Ive lost oodles of weight! The fact is that I never really had weight issues. I realised that gymming not only tones you up but also gives a glow to your skin, increases your stamina and keeps you healthy. I work out five days a week with my personal trainer.

This includes two days of cardio and three days of weight training. I did power yoga for six months and now Ive started doing the surya namaskar.
My diet:
Ive never counted my calories. I think it kills the fun of eating and I love eating. But I do follow some basic rules. My diet is always like a pyramid heavy during the day and lighter as the day progresses. I'm usually munching on something throughout the day. I eat something every three hours, but, of course, in small quantities. I start my day with two glasses of warm coconut water and then milk with muesli. Lunch is two rotis with sabzi, dal and curd. My evening snack would be fruits, which would be anything but bananas, chickoo or grapes. I normally eat a sandwich or egg white with juice or cold coffee. Dinner is always light. Sweets are my weakness, but I keep a check on the quantity I consume.
Happiness quotient:
l I'm a dreamer my father used to tell me I walk dreaming, I eat dreaming, I talk dreaming! Im so happy in my own world that it sometimes irritates my friends. But my little happy world is peaceful. When Im low I go and sit by the sea side with my mom. We dont speak I simply hug her and the world feels all right.
My idea of relaxation:
l When I'm tired after a long day of work, the best thing that cheers me up is a body spa, a good Thai foot massage or a head massage. But what completely unwinds me is being close to nature by taking good breaks. I love going out of town to quiet places away from the hustle bustle of life in the city. Reading a good book or spending time with a close friend is also a great idea.
