ETimes Troll Slayer: Body shaming Uday Chopra when he is mourning the loss of his mother Pamela Chopra is despicable
The Chopra family is mourning the demise of their backbone and tower of strength Pamela Chopra. She stayed away from the limelight, passionately played her role behind the scenes and selflessly supported her family to set up one of the biggest film studios in the country.
And while Uday Chopra struggled with the loss of a parent, netizens turned it into a subject of body shaming and trolling. Such are the times of social media that a celebrity cannot even mourn without scrutiny.
ETimes condemns such hate, especially when a family is going through a vulnerable moment. Take a look at some of the jabs that Uday Chopra faced and our answer to the same.
“Paise wale log hain personal trainer aur dietician ko rakh k phir weight loss kar k new film banaayenge inlogo ko khane ghoomne aur gym jaane k Siwa aur doosra kya kaam hai”
Apart from staying fit, celebrities have jobs to do, money to earn, a family to take care of and a reputation to protect from trolls like yourself. They are as human as us and deserve every bit of compassion and respect.
“Uday has put on lots of weight....V shaped 6 pack body seems to be missing”
It is appalling that at a time when he is mourning the loss of his mother, you are more concerned about his weight and six pack body. Only trolls like yourself have the talent to turn a personal moment of loss into a judgmental, body shaming event.
"Mujhe toh aise lagg raha hai jaise in logo ne pee rakhi hai?"
If you don’t have a kind word to share, then atleast refrain from spreading negativity. Having watched glimpses in one video, you declared that a celebrity a drunk… instead of toying with figments of your imagination, let the family mourn in peace, without your conjecture.
