Esha Gupta visits Maha Kumbh: ‘I am here for Sanatan Dharma, not as a Bollywood actor’

Bollywood actress Esha Gupta recently visited Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj to take a holy dip, joining other celebrities who have participated in the sacred event. However, Esha made it clear that she was not attending as a Bollywood personality but as a follower of Sanatan Dharma.

In a video shared by IANS, the actress stated, “Bollywood actors ka kaam nahi hai ke woh auron pe tipanni dein, toh main nahi dena chahungi. Bollywood actors ka kaam hai acting karna. Main yaha pe Bollywood actor ke haisiyat se nahi aayi hoon.” She further emphasized, “Main yaha pe Sanatan Dharam ke haisiyat se aayi hoon, Sanatani ke Dharam se aayi hoon. Ek beti ke haisiyat se aayi hoon, aur ek Bharatiya ke haisiyat se aayi hoon.” (I am here for Sanatan Dharam, as a devoted daughter and as an Indian who never imagined being part of a Kumbh like this. Whether for faith or duty, I urge you—come and be a part of it.)

Esha urged people to visit Maha Kumbh, saying, “Chahe dharam ke liye aaye ya karam ke liye aaye, par aaye zaroor.”

Many Bollywood celebrities, including Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Kabir Khan, and Remo D’Souza, have already attended Maha Kumbh this year.

Esha made her acting debut in 2012 with the crime thriller Jannat 2. She has since starred in several films, including Raaz 3D, Baby, Commando 2, Baadshaho, and Total Dhamaal. She was last seen in One Day: Justice Delivered. The film, directed by Ashok Nanda, also starred Anupam Kher, Kumud Mishra, and Anusmriti Sarkar. It was released in 2019. Esha will next be seen in the upcoming films, including Murder 4, Desi Magic, and Hera Pheri 3.
