Esha Deol rubbishes Dharmendra death reports: 'My father is stable and recovering'

Legendary and veteran actor Dharmendra was recently admitted at the Breach Candy Hospital. The actor had complained of breathlessness. On Tuesday morning, reports of his demise began flooding across social media platform, causing widespread panic. His daughter, Esha Deol has now comr forth and confirmed that Dharmendra is recovering. The rumours of his death were splayed across social media, even leading to a now-deleted condolence tweet from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh that read, "Deeply saddened by the demise of veteran actor and former MP Shri Dharmendra ji. A versatile actor who brought life to many memorable characters with his unmatched charm and sincerity. His remarkable contribution to Indian cinema will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family and admirers."

Additionally, CM Yogi Adityanath and Javed Akhtar also penend their condolences on social media. which led to the further spread of these rumours. However, Esha Deol has now confirmed that the death reports are false and the actor is recovering and stable. Esha Deol wrote, "The media seems to be in overdrive. And spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for Papa's speedy recovery." Notably, Esha Deol had turned off her comments tab for the said post.



On Monday evening, Sunny Deol's team also issued a statement which said, "Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Kindly don't indulge in spreading false rumours regarding his health. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family's right to privacy."
