Emraan Hashmi will be essaying the role of noted Indian cricketer Mohammad
Azharuddin
in his biopic titled '
Azhar'. Looking stern and convincing in the poster which speaks a lot for itself, Emraan is seen sitting in front of a bag of currency bundles with a row of Team India jerseys displaying the names of other cricketers in the background.
While Prachi Desai plays the homely Naureen, the first wife of Azharuddin;
Nargis Fakhri will be seen as the bold and stylish Sangeeta Bijlani, the second wife of Azharuddin in the film.
Gautam Gulati's first 'Azhar' look unveiled Directed by Tony D'Souza and Produced by Ekta Kapoor, 'Azhar' also stars Lara Dutta as a lawyer, Huma Qureshi as Jwala Gutta and Gautam Gulati as Ravi Shastri. The film is slated to hit theatres on May 13, 2016.
