Ekta Kapoor to Amy Jackson and Sameera Reddy – Bollywood celebs who welcomed newborns in 2019

Bollywood was not just celebrating box office success in 2019 but there was a lot baby cheer too spread across the year. Several stars welcomed a whole lot of happiness in 2019 as they turned parents. While Esha Deol turned mother a second time, Ekta Kapoor welcomed her son Ravie through surrogacy this year. Ekta Kapoor started the year on a positive note as she announced that she has turned a mother through surrogacy. The actress welcomed her son on January 27 and named him Ravie, after her father Jeetendra whose real name is Ravi Kapoor. An elated Ekta had said in a statement, “By God’s grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby’s birth has made me. Everything in life doesn’t go the way you want it to but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today I feel immensely blessed to become a parent. It is an emotional moment for me and my family and I can’t wait to begin this new journey of being a mother.”

Arjun Rampal and girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades were blessed with a baby boy on July 18. Gabriella had a caesarean delivery and her parents had flown down from South Africa to be with their daughter as she welcomed her bundle of joy. Arjun and Gabriella named their son Arik Rampal. Arjun’s daughters from his first marriage, Mahikaa (17) and Myra (14) had also visited Gabriella in the hospital. An avid social media user, Gabriella often posts glimpses of Arjun and Arik, while she expertly manages to hide her son’s face.

Amy Jackson’s pregnancy was beautifully captured and shared with all her followers. From gym sessions to travelling for work, the actress was acing her pregnancy and welcomed son Andreas Panayiotou with fiancé George Panayiotou on September 23. Since then the actress has been sharing several adorable glimpses of her toddler. Amy and George are reportedly set to tie the knot next year in a lavish destination wedding which will be attended by the couple’s close family and friends.

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani welcomed a second child, a baby girl on June 10. The couple named their daughter Miraya , while their older daughter is named Radhya. Revealing the connection between their daughter's names, Esha Deol told Mumbai Mirror, “When Lord Krishna worships Radha, it's called Radhya, while Miraya means a devotee of Lord Krishna. Both the girls have that in common and I love how Radhya and Miraya sound together."

Sameera Reddy and husband Akshai Varde were blessed with a baby girl on July 12. The actress revealed her daughter’s name on Instagram, as she held a placard which read ‘Nyra’ along with her three-year-old son Hans Varde. Happy to parent a daughter, Sameera had shared on social media, “This little girl gave me the strength of wild horses. She wanted me to find myself again. She knew I was lost and she showed me the way. I found a voice in celebrating motherhood, wanting change on body perception and the best part was reaching out to people to just feel good about themselves. I'm so happy that people felt so connected and supported me to get here! We prayed for a baby girl and we are blessed!”

Surveen Chawla and husband Akshay Thakker welcomed their baby girl Eva on April 15. Speaking about motherhood Surveen had told Bombay Times, "It’s a beautiful feeling and more so, as it has come completely unexpected for Akshay and me. Suddenly, life has become beautiful. I am looking forward to every step now. Of course, it’s unfamiliar territory, but the only one that comes with a guarantee of being wonderful. Akshay and I feel really blessed."
