​‘Dhadak 2’ cast: Know all about the actors’ educational qualifications

‘Dhadak 2’, directed by Shazia Iqbal, is the upcoming sequel to the popular 2018 film ‘Dhadak. The star-studded cast for this film includes names like Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi. While these actors are pros in showing off their acting prowess on the big screen, what have they been up to beyond this? Tripti Dimri

The talented ‘Qala’ actress was born in Garhwal, Uttarakhand. She began her education as a school student in Delhi Public School in the Firozabad district. She then continued on with her higher education at the prestigious Sri Aurobindo College, where she pursued her graduation in psychology. Later on, as her interest in acting and the film industry grew, she managed to score a spot in the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, where she developed her skills. Her debut in the 2017 film ‘Poster Boys’ helped her establish her name right from the start. Throughout her career, she has worked on different projects like ‘Animal’ and ‘Bulbbul’.

Siddhant Chaturvedi

Siddhant Chaturvedi comes from a middle-class background where his father worked as a chartered accountant while his mother was a homemaker. He was initially born in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, but around the time he was 5, his family made a big shift to Mumbai. He did his higher education in Mithibai College, where at first he had wished to become a CA like his father, but after experiencing theatre during his college days, there was no turning back for him. His debut in the film and entertainment world came with the web series ‘Life Sahi Hai’ in 2016. Since then, he has worked on a lot of major projects and has managed to establish a strong presence in the industry. Some of his most popular works include ‘Gully Boy’ and ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’.

Zaki Hussain

Zakir Hussain is a seasoned actor who was born in Meerut. He is mostly known for his comedy roles as well as his villain roles in various popular projects. He began his studies in Delhi initially, which is where he managed to gain an interest in the world of acting. Afterwards, for pursuing higher education, the actor first went to Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, and then to National School of Drama to hone in on his acting abilities. Some of his most famous works include, but are not limited to, ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, ‘Thuppaki’, ‘Singham Returns’ and ‘Sarkaar’.

Vipin Sharma

Vipin Sharma is a seasoned actor, writer, and director who has been a major part of the entertainment and film industry for quite some time now. Born in New Delhi in a poor family, Vipin had always been interested in acting since his childhood days. It was through theatre that he managed to get an outlet for his skills. Beyond that, as he grew, he completed his studies at the National School of Drama, where he studied along with the late actor Irrfan Khan. He then later went to Toronto to study at the Canadian Film Centre, after which he officially started his journey in cinema. Some of his most well-known roles include, but are not limited to, ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Kick’, and ‘Paatal Lok’.

Saurabh Sachdeva

Saurabh Sachdeva is a well-known face in the entertainment industry. He began his journey in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, and continued to Delhi. He began his schooling at the Model Sr Secondary School, Saket. To work on his acting skills, he also joined the prestigious Barry John's Imago Acting School as a teacher, which has now been renamed to Barry John Acting Studios. Some of his most notable works include ‘Manmarziyaan’, ‘Raat Baaki Hai’, ‘Good Luck Jerry’, ‘Animal’, ‘Sacred Games’, and ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’.

Deeksha Joshi

Deeksha Joshi is an Indian actress who has predominantly worked in Gujarati cinema. Her debut in the industry came with ‘Shubh Aarambh’ in 2017. While the actress was born in Lucknow, she shifted to Ahmedabad for her education. Her journey started at Eklavya School, after which she pursued higher education at St. Xavier's College. She completed her graduation in English Literature from there. Some of her works include ‘Karsandas Pay & Use’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’.
