In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Divya said that her childhood was similar to a potboiler film. She stated that her developing years were similar to that of a potboiler film, which is a mix of everything. “I was a very happy-go-lucky child,” Divya Dutta said.

Divya also took a walk down memory lane and recalled about the pre-school days. She reminisced about the time when she was attending a government school. She was around the age of 4 or 5. Both her parents were doctors, and one day when her father asked her what she learned in school, Divya ended up using cuss words. She apparently learned those from the mischievous kids from the village. That specific incident prompted her father to send her to Delhi, at her aunt’s place, from where she continued her education.

Divya is best known for her performances in the films ‘Veergati’, ‘Veer-Zaara’, 'Irada', 'Delhi-6', and 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' among others.
