Divya Dutta, who shared a precious moment with the late actress at the 66th
National Award ceremony in Delhi, too, took to social media to share her grief over the loss.
Posting a picture with Surekha Sikri, Divya wrote, “RIP #surekha ji!! Shall always remember you do very fondly!!!.” The picture truly speaks volumes about their bond. Take a look:
When Etimes reached out to Divya, she added, “Surekha ji has been somebody who I have always looked up to as an actor. She was one of the most natural actors we have had. I came very close to working with her on many projects, but somehow never got to work with her. But I have met her a few times and I'm so fond of her. I was lucky to see her get the National Award the year when I was hosting. God bless her soul, we are going to miss her talent big time.”
Surekha Sikri passed away today morning at the age of 75 due to a cardiac arrest. She had been suffering from health complications ever since her second brain stroke.
