Discover French cinema at this month-long festival

Gear up for a one-of-its-kind online French film festival — My French Film Festival India 2015, which begins on January 16.
Brought to India by the Video on Demand platform HalfTicket.tv, it will be available on www.halfticket.tv free. The month-long festival will showcase a string of French feature and short films. These movies have been helmed by filmmakers belonging to the younger generation of France’s cinematic legacy.The global fest is the perfect opportunity for every budding filmmaker to pick up the finer nuances of the art from the films being showcased.

The Indian jury comprises Anurag Kashyap, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Ketan Mehta and Swanand Kirkire whereas Michel Gondry, the director of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, will preside over the international jury. Jagdish Rajpurohit, Founder, HalfTicket.tv, says, “It has always been our aim to bring curated, engaging content, that is appreciated the world over, to India. And when it comes to world cinema, what better than French films? The line-up includes movies made by some able directors, which speak volumes about the burgeoning talent in the country. I hope the festival will be a treat for film buffs and a helpful case study for our own promising talent.”
