Bappi Lahiri passed away following multiple health issues at a city hospital at the age of 69. He was cremated in Mumbai in the presence of family, friends and industry colleagues on Thursday. Recently, 'Disco Dancer' star

Expressing his grief, the veteran actor said, ''Bappi Da, I know and I am sure your soul will be in heaven.
I will miss you, I will miss you forever and ever.'' Lahiri was known for his chartbusters like 'I am a disco dancer', 'Jimmy Jimmy', 'Pag ghunghroo'.
The singer-composer was popular for his trademark gold chains that he wore for luck and his sunglasses. He was known for his songs in several films of the late 70s-80s. These included 'Chalte Chalte', 'Disco Dancer' and 'Sharaabi'.

Vidya Balan, Shakti Kapoor, Roopali Ganguly, Deb Mukherjee, singers Udit Narayan, Shaan, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Mika Singh, producer Bhushan Kumar, filmmaker KC Bokadia arrived to pay their last respects.
His last Bollywood song was Bhankas for the 2020 film 'Baaghi 3' starring Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor, Ankita Lokhande and Riteish Deshmukh.
Several stars from the film and music fraternity including Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Anupam Kher, Shreya Ghoshal, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and others mourned the demise of the music icon.
