​Directors who have turned actors​

Acting is not everyones cup of tea but then there are few directors who have very seamlessly crossed over and have done equally well in thier acting career. Let's take a look.

Gautham is known for his films like Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mien and Ek Deewana Tha. Though he has done small and blink and miss roles since the start of his career in hsi films, he will playing a mjor role in Thalapathy Vijay's Leo.

He was amongst the most sort after director in the country after delivering films like Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya and Don. But then actor bug bit him and he made his debut with Rock On and went on to do many films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Zindagi na Milegi Dobara and Toofan.

Mahesh had been in the industry for quite a few years before he made his debut as an actor in Sanjay Dutt's Kaante. From there on he has done mnay positve and negative through the years.

Anurag used to look very comfortbale in front of the camera when he used to do his cameos in film like Luck By Chance, Gulaal Dev D etc. But his full fledged role came in a film called Shagird. He will now be seen in Thalpathy Vijay's Leo and Vijay Sethupati's Maharaja.

Tigmanshu hold a master degree in Theaters from National School of Drama, but the director's chair that attracted him the most. But his friend Anurag Kashyap convinced to play Ramadhir Singh in Gangs of Wasseypur and that set the ball rolling for the director, he has gone on to do many films and advertisments as an actor now.

Amol entered the movie business with Taare Zameen Par but then he got replaced by Aamir Khan as the director. He then went to make films like Stanley Ka Dabba , Hawa Hawaii and Sania. He turned actor with films like Singham Returns and Mumbai Saga.
