After playing the protagonist in films like 'Love, Sex Aur Dhokha' and 'Yeh Hai Bakrapur' and doing a cameo in 'Fugly', Anshuman Jha will now be seen in Onir’s Chauranga and Manish Mudra’s X opposite Huma Qureshi and Swara Bhaskar.

Impressed with the young actor, Onir says, “The energy which Anshuman brings to a character is infectious and touches the co-actors and the crew.” Meanwhile, director Janaki Vishwanathan, with whom Anshuman will work on the Yeh Hai Bakrapur sequel towards the end of the year states, “He’s ordinarily relatable yet extraordinarily charming.”

Similarly, Dibakar Banerjee, who introduced him to the world of films, says, “He has a strange awkwardness, which I find endearing.”
The actor, who had earlier represented India at the World Theatre Fest, has had to take a break from theatre due to his film commitments.

Although he’ll be acting in the play, The Boy Who Stopped Smiling, Anshuman insists that movies are his priority now. “Theatre is my riyaaz but cinema is now my focus,” he asserts.
