Rapper and
Khatron Ke Khiladi winner Dino James was rumoured to be one of the contestants in the ongoing season of
Bigg Boss 19. While talks did happen, Dino reveals that he eventually did not make it to the final list. "Everybody from the channel is a friend. They were interested. I was not really sure about it, whether I should go or not, but I thought I’ll just go for the meeting. I had my couple of meetings with them, and eventually I was still trying to make up my mind, but eventually I don’t know what happened. Probably they must have seen my confusion,” he shares.
The rapper admits he’s never been a follower of the reality show. “I haven’t watched the show, or I have never been a big fan of
Bigg Boss. My friends said, people should see your personality. I thought that my fans and my people and my listeners would want to know a little bit extra because I’m not really active on Instagram. I don’t actually post stories. I don’t post my personal things on Instagram,” he explains.
Dino says the lure of the platform was tempting. “I thought it’s actually a good platform just to actually go inside. It’s the basic reason why everybody else wants to basically go inside. It’s for the eyeballs. I thought it is going to be good for my brand, and I was hoping that people might like me and probably whatever it is and get more eyeballs towards my songs and my brand,” he says.
Having already experienced reality TV with
Khatron Ke Khiladi, Dino admits that changed him in unexpected ways. “I’ve never been a fan of
Khatron either. But eventually when I did the show, I realized this is the biggest show ever. I’m a changed person after that show,” he reflects.
