Diljit Dosanjh: No question of entering Bollywood music scene

Diljit Dosanjh is one of those rare singers from Punjab who is happy sticking to one genre of music and that is Punjabi. His recent song

by storm over the weekend. He was quoted as saying that usually, Punjabi artistes believe in playing to the gallery, and limit themselves to wedding songs. After 'Udta Punjab's 'Ikk Kudi' became popular among the youth, he realised that his love songs still have the same magic.

Diljit is happy to be a part of Punjabi music and has no ambition or interest to foray into Bollywood. 'To be very honest, Hindi music is not my cup of tea. I am happy with what I am doing in Punjabi music instead of churning out music for Hindi movies. There are instances of Punjabi musicians in Bollywood sweating it out to remain relevant event after delivering a string of hits,' says the singer.
