Diljit Dosanjh is NOT affected by boycott calls or controversies; signs another Bollywood film, 'No Entry 2'
Diljit Dosanjh was receiving massive backlash and boycott calls as his movie 'Sardar Ji 3' featured Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Though the film didn't release in India, it was in cinemas overseas. Soon after that, several petitions and letters were sent to the producers of 'Border 2,' his next movie, asking them to remove the singer-actor from the film.
However, after the makers told the film bodies that more than half the movie was completed and removing Dosanjh would cost them a lot, the issue was resolved. And according to the latest report, the actor has signed another Bollywood project – the 'No Entry' sequel. This is a clear indication that the singer is not bothered by controversies surrounding him.
Meanwhile, the first installment featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, and Celina Jaitley. It was released in 2005.
Diljit Dosanjh signs 'No Entry' sequel
According to a Mid-Day report, Diljit Dosanjh has now signed the sequel to 'No Entry.' As per the report, the film will go on floors soon. A source told the publication that the makers would probably start shooting from October this year. Reportedly, the film team will have a "month-long schedule" after October. The source shared with the website that the shooting will be done in Greece, Italy, and India.Producer Boney Kapoor had a meeting at the National Defence Academy before getting Diljit on board
Though Diljit's name was in the race to star in the movie, the boycott calls made things unsteady. As per the report, Boney Kapoor had a meeting at the National Defence Academy in Pune last month, after which the decision to go with Diljit was made.More about 'No Entry 2'
The report further stated that Tamannaah Bhatia has been roped in as the female lead of the film. Reportedly, the film also stars Varun Dhawan. Filmmaker Anees Bazmee is helming the project. And an official announcement from the makers is likely to be made soon.Top Comment
