Diljit Dosanjh EXITS Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor starrer ‘No Entry 2’: Real reason revealed
Fans of the 2005 hit comedy 'No Entry' have been waiting for years for a sequel. The original film, starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan, was a box office success thanks to its slapstick humour and memorable one-liners. Since then, talks of a sequel have surfaced multiple times but never really took off.
Now, the long-awaited 'No Entry 2' has hit a fresh roadblock as Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has exited the project.
Unfortunately, this excitement was short-lived. Reports now confirm that Diljit will not be part of the sequel.
Diljit was supposed to play one of the three leading men alongside Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in this Anees Bazmee-directed comedy, backed by Boney Kapoor. The film was scheduled to start shooting in October 2025, but this clashed with Diljit’s busy calendar. He has his ‘Aura Tour’ lined up in Australia and New Zealand from October 26 to November 13. After that, he has other film commitments, leaving no suitable dates to shoot 'No Entry 2'.
“Diljit’s packed touring schedule was becoming a challenge for the No Entry team. The film requires extensive planning for its massive sequel, and unfortunately, Diljit’s dates just couldn’t align. Given these constraints, both sides have amicably and mutually decided to part ways,” the reported mentioned.
Despite these efforts, aligning his commitments with the production proved impossible. The October start date and his packed tour meant there was no way to make it work. The decision to part ways was mutual and amicable, showing that both sides handled the situation professionally.
Makers seek replacement for leading actor
With Diljit out, the makers are now on the lookout for a replacement. Talks are said to have begun with several actors. However, finding a leading young star at such short notice is challenging, as most are already booked for projects running well into next year. This could mean another delay for the sequel. Fans will have to wait a little longer before they can see the new version of 'No Entry' on screen.
Anticipation builds around 'No Entry 2'
When the makers finally confirmed a new cast featuring Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh, fans were excited. The combination of these three actors brought renewed energy to the project and sparked hope that the sequel was finally moving forward. After years of silence, the update revived buzz and anticipation around the film.Unfortunately, this excitement was short-lived. Reports now confirm that Diljit will not be part of the sequel.
Diljit Dosanjh exits due to scheduling conflicts
According to Peeping Moon, Diljit’s exit is not due to creative differences or controversies around Hania Amir’s casting in 'Sardaar 3'. The reason is purely scheduling conflicts.Diljit was supposed to play one of the three leading men alongside Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in this Anees Bazmee-directed comedy, backed by Boney Kapoor. The film was scheduled to start shooting in October 2025, but this clashed with Diljit’s busy calendar. He has his ‘Aura Tour’ lined up in Australia and New Zealand from October 26 to November 13. Producer Boney Kapoor tried to resolve issue
The news of Diljit’s exit first surfaced in May. Reportedly, in July, Boney Kapoor personally met the actor while he was filming 'Border 2' to persuade him to reconsider. For weeks, Diljit and his team tried to adjust his schedule to match the film’s shooting plan.Despite these efforts, aligning his commitments with the production proved impossible. The October start date and his packed tour meant there was no way to make it work. The decision to part ways was mutual and amicable, showing that both sides handled the situation professionally.
