With a renewed interest in revisiting popular Hindi films, 'RHTDM' is set to return to theaters today, 30th, 2024. Pooja Entertainment has announced the re-release of this cherished romantic drama featuring Madhavan and Dia.

In 2020, when the film celebrated its 19th anniversary, Dia Mirza had shared a heartfelt memory on X, revealing she was a teenager when the movie premiered. She had shared, "I was all of 19 when this movie released. And for 19 years you've given us love. This one is very close to my heart. Celebrating this journey love #19YearsOfRHTDM #RHTDM."

There were also speculations about a sequel to the iconic movie, reacting to it, Madhavan had shared, "# RHTDM ..Guysss ...been reading rumors about the sequel ...and hoping it's true-cause I have no idea about this ...just praying that someone somewhere has an age appropriate script for Dia and I -varna ab madhav shastri banana hathi ko chaddhi pehnane ke baraabar hai.(Otherwise playing Madhav Shastri at this age would be a futile attempt)."
Today, Pooja Entertainment shared a video reel on Instagram featuring the youthful appearances of Dia Mirza, R Madhavan, and Saif Ali Khan from 'Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein'. Both R Madhavan, known as Maddy, and Dia Mirza reshared this post on their stories.

Released in 2001, 'RHTDM' marked the Bollywood debut of Dia Mirza and R Madhavan. Prior to this, Madhavan had worked in Tamil, Kannada, and English films, as well as Hindi television shows. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the romantic drama is a remake of his Tamil film 'Minnale', which was also released in 2001. In the Tamil version, Abbas played Madhavan's character, while Reema Sen portrayed Dia's character. The scripts for both films were co-written by Gautham and Vipul D Shah. Despite its moderate box office success, 'RHTDM', became a sensation due to its popular musical numbers. Songs like "Sach Keh Raha Hai," "Dil Ko Tumse," "Zara Zara," and various versions of the title track were particularly loved by the audience.
