Talking about his first co-star and her contribution in his career, Rishi went on say that Simi Garewal holds a very special place in his heart. He confessed that she was his first love, his first crush. According to the actor, she guided him in ‘Mera Naam Joker’. He added that whatever he has done in the film is because of Raj Kapoor who was their director and Simi Garewal who always showed him patience.
Simi in return also stated that Rishi had such an innocent face that he would do pranks on the set and get away with it. She also added that she adored him.

’.
Simi Garewal mourned the loss of Rishi Kapoor by sharing a heartfelt post on social media that read, ‘#RishiKapoor My Chintu darling has gone.. My dearest friend..my costar..my playmate. The one who used to make me laugh till I cried! Now there are only tears.. No last goodbye. No funeral. No consoling embraces. Silence. Emptiness. Grief.’
