Did you know Madhuri Dixit almost cried, refusing to do a scene with Ranjeet in 'Prem Pratigya'?

Ranjeet, renowned for portraying villainous roles in films, revealed that Madhuri Dixit almost turned down the movie 'Prem Pratigya'. The actor revealed that she was hesitant to share screen space with him. In an interview, Ranjeet shared that he was unaware of the situation but got to know about it from action director Veeru Devgan, father of actor Ajay Devgn.

Speaking to Radio Nasha, Ranjeet shared that Madhuri Dixit almost refused the film 'Prem Pratigya'. He recalled how, once Madhuri started crying in the makeup room, she had absolutely refused to do the scene. Ranjeet further said that she had no idea what was happening, and he would come to sit for two hours.

Madhuri was playing a poor man’s daughter, and Ranjeet was supposed to molest her. The fight master, Veeru Devgan, said that they’d keep rolling non-stop and capture everything once the camera was rolling. Ranjeet shared how after the scene, nobody bothered to ask him about the scene, and everyone surrounded Madhuri to know how it went.

Madhuri said that she never even realised that Ranjeet had touched her, which was a great compliment to the actor.

Ranjeet added that these scenes are closely choreographed, like dance sequences. It’s not like they have studied real-life rapes to perform them on screen. He used to often instruct his co-stars to pull his hair and scratch his face to make the scene better. They used to be comfortable.
