Director Dibakar Banerjee is gearing up for the release of his latest film 'LSD 2', and the recently dropped trailer of the movie gained much attention from netizens. In a recent interview, he opened up about his friendship with filmmaker Karan Johar and how caring Karan is for his people.
They both have directed different sections from anthology films including 'Bombay Talkies', 'Ghost Stories', and 'Lust Stories'. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Dibakar said that he enjoyed working with Karan, Zoya Akhtar, and Anurag Kashyap. Karan was the one who took the initiative to become friends with each other. He believes that because of these well-known directors and producers, his film gets promoted in a good way and reaches more people. He further added that he did not think twice to say yes to work in 'Bombay Talkies' as they could help his brand identity.
He recollected an incident when Karan styled his hair in Paris and designed an outfit for him. He experienced a motherly side of the filmmaker there. Dibakar mentioned it as Karan adopted him because he was like an ugly duckling. Dibakar lacked a good sense of fashion, thus Karan designed an outfit for him to wear for a premiere.
