Director Dibakar Banerjee discussed the unexpected departure of Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia from the upcoming film Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 (LSD 2). Nimrit was originally announced as the lead for the film.

However, she later chose to back out of the project due to concerns about the bold scenes in the film.

Dibakar Banerjee shared with India Today that Nimrit's exit was just one of many instances where individuals decided not to participate in the film due to its controversial subject matter. This includes not only actors but also singers who were hesitant to associate with the project.
The director acknowledged that these departures were reflective of society's discomfort with films that address gritty and bold themes.

The director also discussed the challenges the film faced with its music production, describing it as a "khichdi" (mixed bag).

Music industry constraints meant they were unable to work with the singers they wanted, as record labels preferred artists with larger followings and were hesitant to be associated with controversial topics. Banerjee expressed his satisfaction with the final music, despite the struggles.

Despite these challenges, Dibakar Banerjee is confident in the film's overall quality and its ability to challenge societal norms. The film stars Abhinav Singh, Bonita Rajpurohit, and Paritosh Tiwari and is set to be released in theaters on April 19.
