Dia Mirza talks about 'Thappad'

Ever since the trailer of ‘Thappad’ was unveiled, there has been a lot of curiosity about the film. Starring Taapsee Pannu, Pavail Gulati, Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Dia Mirza, Ram Kapoor and others, the film is directed by Anubhav Sinha and follows the story of a woman’s fight after a domestic violence attack by her husband.
In a recent Instagram BTS video that Dia shared on her handle, she is seen surprising Taapsee on the sets of the film.The latter seems pleasantly surprised to see Dia and the two actresses hug and talk a bit before the video stops.

In a recent interview, Dia said that she was happy to be a part of films that showcase compelling human interest stories that encourage one to think hard and maybe even bring about social change. Calling ‘Thappad’ a powerful film, she added that working with Taapsee had been a wonderful experience and called her a ‘fierce lioness’, who had done an impressive body of work.
Set to release on February 28, the cast of the film has already embarked on a promotional spree.
