'Dhurandhar': From Amritsar to Ladakh, know all the locations where Ranveer Singh's film has been shot

Aditya Dhar's action adventure 'Dhurandhar' has been rocking the headlines for its storyline, performances, and everything that is right with the movie. Everyone has been praising Ranveer Singh's gritty avatar as well. The film is set against the backdrop of Pakistan's Lyari town. Let's learn more about the locations where the film was shot.

Where was 'Dhurandhar' shot?

According to the News18 report, the first schedule of 'Dhurandhar' started in July 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. Reportedly, Aditya Dhar recreated scenes of Pakistan. As per the report, explosion scenes and close combat, along with chase sequences, were shot in Thailand's city.




Not just that, the movie was shot in Amritsar, Punjab, as well. Reportedly, after Bangkok, the film was shot near the Golden Temple. The local authorities made sure the film crew functioned smoothly even after witnessing heavy footfall.

After that, the crew moved to Mumbai, which was the operational hub of the film. The makers shot in the city's Filmistan Studios in February 2025. The indoor shots have been filmed at this location. On the other hand, the makers picked Madh Island for shooting the outdoor sequences. They also shot scenes at the Golden Tobacco Factor in Vile Parle in July 2025.

Reportedly, in May 2025, the film team shot for the vehicular stunts on the Dombivali-Mankoli bridge.

The crew went back to Punjab for shooting. This time, it was Khera village, where Pakistani flags were hoisted to recreate the cross-border scenes.

And by August 2025, the team reached Ladakh, in Patthar Sahib in Leh. The entire schedule was full of challenges. The crew suffered food poisoning, which led to the movie getting halted for some time. Ranveer completed his shots by October 2025.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun, along with Ranveer Singh. The film was released in theaters on December 5, 2025.
