'Dhurandhar 2' trailer release: Watch these 7 Ranveer Singh movies on Netflix before the sequel hits the theatre

Ranveer Singh is one of those rare actors who goes completely all-in on every single role, whether it is a street rapper, a historical villain, or an undercover spy. With 'Dhurandhar 2' arriving on March 19, 2026, and the trailer already making buzz, there is no better time to sit back and remind yourself why this man has been impossible to ignore for over a decade. Here are 7 Ranveer Singh films on Netflix that are absolutely worth your time before the sequel hits theatres.

2/8

'Dhurandhar' (2025)

A boy from Punjab, locked up in prison, gets pulled out by India's most secretive intelligence unit and thrown straight into the heart of Karachi's most dangerous criminal network. No safety net, no second chances, just one man deep undercover in enemy territory where one wrong move means death. Directed by Aditya Dhar of 'Uri' fame, the film hits hard from the very first scene and does not slow down. Ranveer is electric in it, and sharing the screen with Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal makes every scene feel like a showdown. Watch it before part two, or you will be completely lost in the best possible way.

3/8

'Padmaavat' (2018)

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film has Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji, one of the most terrifying villains ever put on a Bollywood screen. With wild eyes, unpredictable energy, and a menace that stays with you long after the film ends, Ranveer reportedly went into near-isolation to prepare for this role. Deepika Padukone plays Padmaavati, and Shahid Kapoor plays her husband Maharaj Ratan Singh.

4/8

'83' (2021)

Directed by Kabir Khan, this is the story of how India shocked the entire world by winning the 1983 Cricket World Cup under Kapil Dev's captaincy, at a time when nobody gave them a chance. Ranveer plays Kapil Dev, and the preparation was intense. Kapil Dev himself trained Ranveer on his signature bowling action. The transformation in the way Ranveer carries himself throughout the film is genuinely remarkable. Deepika Padukone plays Kapil Dev's wife.

5/8

'Band Baaja Baaraat' (2010)

This is where it all began. Ranveer's debut film, directed by Maneesh Sharma, is a fresh and fun rom-com about two young people who start a wedding planning business together in Delhi and slowly fall for each other. Playing the carefree and lovable Bittoo Sharma, Ranveer showed from his very first film that he had a natural screen presence and a comedic timing that felt completely instinctive. Anushka Sharma plays his business partner, and the two share brilliant chemistry.

6/8

'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' (2011)

Also directed by Maneesh Sharma, this one is a fun con-comedy where Ranveer plays Ricky Bahl, a smooth-talking charmer who cheats women out of their money. Three of his past victims team up and hire a fourth girl, played by Anushka Sharma, to con him right back. Ranveer is effortlessly cool throughout, and the film is a great showcase of how naturally charismatic he can be on screen. It is a light, entertaining watch that is easy to enjoy even on a lazy afternoon.

7/8

'Gunday' (2014)

It is a big, loud, and unabashedly entertaining film set in the streets of Calcutta in the 1970s, two of the best friends come out of the streets to become the most powerful coal smugglers in the town. Things fall apart when a police officer played by Irrfan Khan and a woman played by Priyanka Chopra come between them. Ranveer and Arjun Kapoor play the leads and their chemistry together is genuinely fun to watch. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film leans fully into its masala roots and Ranveer brings an explosive energy to every single scene.

8/8

'Befikre' (2016)

Shot entirely in Paris, this one is a modern and carefree love story about two free-spirited people who fall in love on their own messy terms. Ranveer plays Dhruv alongside Vaani Kapoor, and the film gives him room to be funny, romantic, and spontaneous all at once. It is the most relaxed and breezy version of Ranveer on screen and a nice change of pace compared to the intense roles he is usually known for. Directed by Aditya Chopra, it is a good watch if you want something light before the high-octane intensity of 'Dhurandhar 2'.
