‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is all set to make its OTT debut. The platform has officially confirmed that the
Ranveer Singh starrer will start streaming in India from June 5. To make the occasion more special, they planned a grand digital premiere on June 4, setting the stage for what promises to be a big OTT event.
'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' grand digital premiere
Sharing a promo on X (formerly Twitter), the streaming platform JioHotstar wrote, “Aandhi banke jo aa raha hai usse DHURANDHAR kehte hain. Watch Dhurandhar The Revenge, Raw & Undekha. Grand Digital Premiere on June 4th at 7 PM, starts streaming from June 5th only on JioHotstar.” The announcement was a big relief for fans in India. International viewers had already been watching the film on Netflix since May 14, which sparked a lot of talk online. Many were also excited about the Netflix version called 'Raw & Undekha', which was far more violent and uncensored than the version released in Indian theatres.
What viewers are saying about 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' uncensored cut
Social media has been buzzing with reactions from viewers who already watched the uncensored version of the film overseas. "Nahhh, some of these uncensored scenes from Dhurandhar The Revenge on Netflix are so much more brutal, detailed and immersive. CBFC really butchered what could've been the greatest theatrical experience ever for Indian audiences," wrote one user. Another pointed out the specific scenes that had been trimmed. "Sequences still missing in Dhurandhar: The Revenge (RAW & UNDEKHA version) on Netflix International. It's uncensored with some elaborated gory scenes earlier trimmed by CBFC," they posted. A third viewer couldn't contain their excitement about the OTT experience. "The ott print of Dhurandhar 2 is raw and brutal, no beep nor any scenes has been cut, absolutely jhakkar experience," they shared.
Another went a step further, calling it a landmark in Indian cinema. "#DhurandharTheRevenge (Raw & Undekha) is INSANE. The Brutality is Just at its PEAK. Arguably, The MOST BRUTAL FILM OF INDIAN CINEMA HISTORY," they wrote. One viewer had a very different takeaway from the film and wrote, "Successfully Wasted 4 hours on Dhurandhar 2. The only good thing I realised was how great our PM Modi ji really is. #Dhurandhar2TheRevenge".
