Dharmendra HEALTH Update! Sunny Deol's team states: It’s rumour mongering like always; he is getting better
Veteran actor Dharmendra was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital late October, prompting a flurry of conflicting reports about his condition. Several mainstream outlets first described the stay as a routine health check-up as the 89-year-old approaches his 90th birthday; family sources and hospital spokespeople repeatedly emphasised that there was “nothing to worry” and that the admission was precautionary.
Now multiple reports stateDharmendra was shifted to intensive care after experiencing breathlessness and, in some stories, was placed on ventilator support. Sunny Deol’s team provided the following statement to us: “It’s rumour mongering like always, Sir is getting better. He’s under observation. There’s nothing to worry.”
The actor, best known for iconic films like Sholay, went on to deliver hits such as Chupke Chupke, Satyakam, Seeta Aur Geeta, Yaadon Ki Baaraat and Dream Girl, among many others. His last appearance was in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), where he charmed audiences with a memorable role. Up next, he will be seen in Ikkis, a war drama directed by Sriram Raghavan, and Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se, which reunites him with Arbaaz Khan.
On October 31, the veteran actor was once again admitted to the hospital for a routine check-up. His team clarified to Hindustan Times, “There is absolutely no cause for concern. He is in good health and frequently visits the hospital for regular medical tests. Someone must have spotted him during one such visit, which seems to have sparked unnecessary panic among fans. But there’s nothing to worry about — he’s absolutely fine.”
