Dharmendra Prayer Meet: Esha Deol’s ex-husband Bharat Takhtani arrives at Hema Malini’s residence for memorial service
Esha Deol, daughter of the late Bollywood icon Dharmendra, received the support of her ex-husband Bharat Takhtani, who arrived with his family at Hema Malini’s residence for a prayer service which was organised by the family.
At Hema's Juhu home, several family friends and well-wishers arrived to pay their respects.
“He was many things to me. Loving husband, adoring father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, friend, philosopher, guide, poet—my ‘go to’ person in all times of need. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways,” she wrote.
Calling Dharmendra a “unique icon unequalled among all the legends,” Hema praised his humility. She added, "My personal loss is indescribable and the vacuum created is something that will last through the rest of my life. After years of togetherness, I am left with myriad memories to relive the many special moments…"

Bharat joins Esha for Dharmendra's prayer meet
The paparazzi caught glimpses of Bharat dressed in a black kurta, arriving at the residence and meeting a few people before heading inside for the prayer meet held in memory of the veteran actor, who passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. His appearance drew attention, given the former couple’s highly publicised separation.At Hema's Juhu home, several family friends and well-wishers arrived to pay their respects.
Hema prays tribute to Dharmendra
Earlier in the day, Hema shared an emotional tribute to her late husband on social media, posting cherished family photographs featuring herself, Dharmendra, and their daughters. In a heartfelt note, she reflected on her decades-long relationship with the actor.“He was many things to me. Loving husband, adoring father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, friend, philosopher, guide, poet—my ‘go to’ person in all times of need. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways,” she wrote.

Sunny and Bobby host separate prayer meet
Meanwhile, a separate prayer meet was hosted by Dharmendra’s first wife Prakash Kaur, along with sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. The prayer meet saw stars from Shah Rukh Khan to Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai in attendance.
