Ahana Deol and fiancé Vaibhav Vora have gone in for a Victorian garden feel for their wedding.
Ahana specifically wanted an ‘open to the sky’ mandap with a vintage royal backdrop, complete with birds like peacocks and even details like dry roots. The colour of the flowers is pastel and not loud. A touch of lavender, Ahana’s favourite colour, has been added to highlight certain aspects of the decor.

Besides, details of trellis walls with creepers and beautiful bougainvillea have been used to enhance the look of the garden. Most elements also have an unusual distress paint look, with Cupid and angels and birdcages adding to the experience. Ancient Victorian stone structures were part of the theme.
The couple has added another personal touch with a tea-light candle hanging on every gazebo. The theme is meant for guests to experience the bride and groom’s style of vintage romance. Magic was the one-word brief for the sangeet ceremony, which took place on Saturday, and showcased how Ahana and Vaibhav fell in love. The couple looked at every detail of the theme — black, white and lavender — and the fabrics and the finish.
Everyone from the family performed at the sangeet. The cuisine also included Russian kebabs, apart from special preparations of lamb, chicken and prawn.
